Remember that in German, we often use present tense to express the future by using adverbs such as tomorrow, yesterday, last night etc. In English, it is more common to use “will”. In the below sentences, use only the present tense.

 

  1. Ich ________ den Nachbarn.

I hear the neighbor

  1. Er ________ einen Salat.

He is eating a salad.

  1. Der Reiseleiter ________ die Touristen über das Ereignis.

The travel guide informs the tourists about the incident. (das Ereignis)

  1. ________ du eine Suppe?

Are you cooking a soup?

  1. Sie ________ ihren besten Freund.

She is marrying her best friend.

  1. Ich ________ deine Schuhe.

I like your shoes.

  1. Ich ________ nur einen Schuh.

I only see one shoe.

  1. Ich ________ eine Tasse Tee trinken.

I would like to drink a cup of tea.

  1. Ich kann dich nicht ________ . Wo bist du?

I cannot reach you, where are you?

We are planning the dinner.

  1. Sie ________ eine neue Waschmaschine.

She is looking for a new washing machine.

 Tomorrow, we will transfer your salary.

He is carrying two large suitcases.

They are signing the contract.

  1. Der Arzt ________ den Patienten.

The doctor examines the patient.

The small dog sees the big dog.

Mrs. Feldmann is renting out the room to her niece.
